June 8 - FridayI’ll be at the Chicago Writer’s blog - with Michael Burke. Michael was born in Chicago’s Jefferson Park neighborhood and now lives in Ravenswood. He is a playwright and author of more than 40 published stories, poems and essays. He is also a co-founder of Polyphony Press, which promotes the diverse voices of emerging and established writers. Michael currently chairs the Board of Directors of the Community Media Workshop, which annually honors Chicago-area journalists with Studs Terkel Awards. In 2006, he was inducted into The Northern Star Hall of Fame at Northern Illinois University. |
