ASA

March 7th, 2007

I’ve just joined with the young man (he and his wife have 5 children, ranging in age from 21 to 14; so unless he started very late, he’s young to me!) that I mentioned in my last blog in a group (can two people be called a group?) called the Association of Struggling Authors. I even got a trumpet fanfare for joining!

You can learn more about him at http://www.kerrydowning.com/. Kerry’s first book, The Collective, (science fiction) was published October 2003 by Quiet Storm Publishing. According to his website, “QSP is now defunct.”

Which puts me in mind of Peter Abresch. He had the same problem with Write Way Publishing, which went bankrupt.

“That had happened in the summer of 02 and since then I’ve been trying to get the rights back for the first three books to put them back into reprint.”

Read Peter’s story (toward the bottom of the page, just below “Book Announcements.”
